TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF THE PLAN OF SPECIALIZATION AND TERRITORIAL COMPETITIVENESS (PECT for its acronym in Spanish) EBREBIOSFERA

Technical assistance to the Consell Comarcal del Baix Ebre in the technical coordination follow-up, communication, justification and evaluation of the Specialisation and Territorial Competitiveness (PECT for its acronym in Spanish). PECTs, financed by the Operational Programme FEDER of Catalonia 2014 – 2020 and under the umbrella of the strategy of intelligent specialization RIS3CAT, are local strategies to generate innovative economic activity though the collaboration of public and private non-profit entities and based in the resources, skills and potential of the regions in which it operates.

The PECT EbreBiosfera, in which public actors such as the Consortium for environmental policies in the Terres de l’Ebre, Amposta City Council and the University Rovira i Virgili and private agents such as Fundació Agroterritori or the Centre for the technological dissemination of timer and furniture take part, aims to drive the change in the economic model of the regions of Les Terres de l’Ebre based on the knoweldge, innovation, the generation of a new economic activity and quality employment. All this through the 8 transformative projects that range from a platform for the promotion of the innovative agri-food system to the creation of FabLab Terres de L’Ebre or the strengthening of the competitiveness of the habitat sector.
