NEW WAYS OF MANAGING LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND EMPLOYMENT

The overall objective of the technical assistance was to promote employment through self-employment of highly qualified unemployed people. Specifically, the project analyses the potential of the qualified unemployed population of the Penedès region, identifying their skills and weaknesses; identifying the potential hiring by overseas and domestic companies through tele-working; creating a network of contacts between companies and unemployed people; creating interest in the unemployed in the region with high skill levels to develop self-employment projects; developing services to facilitate self-employment in the region; connecting the self-employment projects with domestic and international companies interested in outsourcing and tele-work; building the capacity for self-employment of qualified unemployed in the region.
