ARTICULATION OF ALL THE ACTORS FOR THE CREATION OF AN ASSOCIATION PROMOTING THE ANCHOVY IGP OF THE CANTABRIAN SEA
The aim is to carry out the necessary work, prior to submitting the application to the Subdirectorate General of Differentiated Quality and Ecological Production of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food for the Protected Geographical Indication of Cantabrian anchovy. Actions directed towards the dynamisation of the sector will be performed, that is, actions aimed at activating the actors directly concerned: Canning Companies, Workers and Guilds/OPEs. Identification of the companies that have shown greater interest in the setting up of an IGP. Establish with the companies a commitment for the creation of a stable working group that defines the work plan to allow reaching the final aim of applying for the IGP Cantabrian Anchovy, terms and responsibilities. Involve the businessmen/women in the extension and dissemination of the initiative towards other companies and guilds/OPEs in other neighboring CCAA, who must be involved. Propose the foundations for the launch of a new structure of businessmen/women, who belong to the transforming sector and to the extractive sector, initially, starting from Cantabria, to later expand to the rest of regions concerned by the Protected Geographical Indication of the Anchovy of the Cantabrian Sea. Analyse the different alternatives that may exist.
