Description

SECTORAL ASPECTS OF FRAUDULENT WORK

Building upon two Eurofound  studies (2016, 2017)that focused on the general features, extent and impact of fraudulent forms of contracting and employment in Europe, this study adopts a sectoral approach. The project is focused on three sectors of particular concern for fraudulent forms of contracting work: road haulage, construction and company cleaning. The project analyses: 1) the processes by which the specific sectors selected make use of fraudulent forms of contracting work and self-employment and the rationales behind this usage; 2) the consequences in terms of business competition for companies involved and working and employment conditions for workers affected.
