The fourth exchange of experiences of the REDERA project

The fourth of the joint learning events of the RedEra+ project (European Erasmus + programme) “Revitalization and entrepreneurship for deprived European rural areas” was held on the 24th of March. The event was organised by the Tirantes(the Netherlands), and consisted in the presentation of three experiences developed in the region of North Brabant which respond to the objectives pursued by the project, namely:

Les experiències presentades van ser:
Agrifood Capital.
By Simon Maas, Project manager S3FOOD & PROTEIN and Veronique Scharenborg, Program manager Noordoost Brabant Werkt. Agrifood Capital is an interesting experience based on the collaboration of companies, knowledge institutions and governments to develop the food chains of the future. Smarter and more sustainable food chains. These chains are built by linking farmers and food processors with smart technology developers, curious researchers and logistics experts.
Education Food Operator.
By Hans de Jong, Regiodirecteur Regio Meierijstad, Uden & Bedrijfsopleidingen, ROC de Leijgraaf. This is a public-private cooperation initiative within the Dutch VET system related to the (technical) training of operators in the food sector. A total of 3 types of training courses are offered at the basic and intermediate level of VET. The aim of the initiative is to work on the basis of a shared vision between the training centre and companies to meet the demands of these companies. In this way it is possible to adapt the training to the professional practice through a process of updating skills and constant innovation.
Family Pig.
By Frank Wind, one of the founders of Family Pig. The initiative is based on creating profitable pig farms, of accessible quality, where animal welfare, food safety and harmony with the environment go hand in hand, especially due to slurry. The farms linked to the Family-Pig initiative receive from them the supply of products and various services to the farmer, especially in the management of the farm through the application of technology.

The event was attended by all the partners of the project led by the Viceconsejería de Empleo y Relaciones Laborales de la Junta de Comunidades de Castilla la Mancha. The next event will be the responsibility of the ABU (Germany).
