INDEX OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS IN THE FIELD OF OSH (OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH)

To develop the EU OSH Barometer on social dialogue, EU-OSHA commissioned Notus in 2021 to develop a conceptual approach and identify an initial set of indicators for building a composite indicator of social dialogue in the field of Occupational Safety and Health – OSH (EU-OSHA, 2022). This study continues this line of work. Its main objective is to build a composite indicator (or index) of industrial relations in the field of OSH: the OSH-IR index. The methodology used for building the OSH-IR index is based on the Handbook on Constructing Composite Indicators (Nardo et al., 2005), developed by the OECD and the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC).
