Second steering committee meeting of PROMOTE project
On the 14th of December it was held the second steering committee meeting of the PROMOTE project “Promoting collaboration and good practice in posting of workers in the agriculture sector”. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the first results of the desk research and fieldwork (interviews) carried out so far in the four countries studied in the project (Spain, France, Italy and Romania). A summary of the early results of the project has been published in the second project newsletter.
During the meeting the partners also analysed the implementation of the different project tasks. In particular, the number of survey responses was revised. The survey aims at gathering information on working conditions of posted workers and it has been launched in the countries during the fruit picking campaigns.
Finally, the partners scheduled two on-line workshops. The workshops will aim to discuss innovate actions of administrative and trade union cooperation at transnational level aiming to enforce the implementation of the Directive 96/71/EC concerning the posting of workers in the agriculture sector.
