LABOUR MARKET INTEGRATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE GORNAL NEIGHBOURHOOD
The objective of this project was to promote young people’s integration into the labour market in the Gornal neighbourhood in the municipality of Hospitalet de Llobregat. The project formed part of the social and economic regeneration initiative URBAN-GORNAL. The project consisted in carrying out an applied study of emerging sectors, needs for unskilled employment in the Gornal neighbourhood and qualification requirements to integrate young people in the neighbourhood. The conclusions and proposals of the study have been incorporated into a proposed program contract with the Catalan government to promote active employment policies in the municipality.
