OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH OF HOME CARE WORKERS.

The purpose of the service is to carry out an exploratory study on occupational safety and health (OSH) risks in the home care sector. The study focuses on identifying the most prevalent risk factors, their impact on workers’ health, and analyzing policies, legislation, and best practice initiatives for the prevention and management of these risks.

The main objectives are:

  1. Improve knowledge of OSH risks in the home care sector, including ergonomic, physical, biological, chemical, and psychosocial risks.
  2. Analyze the impact of digitalization and staff shortages on working conditions and worker safety and health.
  3. Identify policies and intervention strategies at company, sectoral, national, and European levels that can serve as best practices for OSH risk prevention and management.
  4. Provide evidence-based recommendations to improve regulations and working conditions in the sector.
