First short-term joint staff training event of the ERASMUS + New Opportunities for the Not Employment, Education or Training project (NO NEETs)
On March 21, 22 and 23 in the Dutch town of Hertogenbosch, notus participated in the first short-term joint staff training event of the ERASMUS + New Opportunities for the Not Employment, Education or Training project (NO NEETs).
The project is led by the Autonomous Province of Trento and has the participation of public and private institutions, among which is notus (Spain); Braces (Holland), Agenzia Piemonte Lavoro (Italy); Ministry of Economy, Business and Employment of the Regional Government of Castilla La Mancha (Spain), ABU Akademie für Berufsförderung und Umschulung (Germany) and VUC Storstrom (Denmark).
This project focuses on reactivation, motivation, coaching and training tools for vulnerable young people. Each of the project partners selects good practices in their territories related to these aspects and organizes a visit to the other partners, called short-term joint staff training event, so that they can learn about and gain first-hand knowledge of these good practices.
The first project partner to organize the visit was the Tirantes organization located in the city of Hertogenbosch. During the visit, the participants were able to visit two experiences that take place in the city. The first was the Weener XL experience, which works with people aged between 18 and 65, but who have an exclusive program for young people aged between 16 and 27 years old. This organization works with unemployed people who are beneficiaries of a social income encouraging them to be active participants in the labour market, either by improving their training or helping them find employment. The second experience that was visited was T.O.M., a project funded by the municipality that works with young people who have left their studies prematurely and who are vulnerable. Both interventions stood out for taking a comprehensive approach to young people, the individual work they do with them and for working not only on training or occupational aspects, but on different aspects of their day-to-day life under the concept of life coaching.
The following short-term joint staff training event is scheduled for 22, 23 and 24 May in the city of Berlin and will be organized by ABU Akademie für Berufsförderung und Umschulung.
