Maria Caprile Elola-Olaso’s profile
Founding member of notus (2013) and director of research. Sociologist by the University of Barcelona with a postgraduate degree in political and social sciences from Pompeu Fabra University. She has more than 20 years of experience in technical assistance and research on the labour market, working conditions, employment policies and gender equality, adopting a comparative perspective and combining the use of quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Throughout her professional experience she has conducted comparative studies on gender, research and the knowledge.based society, within the research framework programs of the European Union or for the European Commission. She has been co-director of the team in charge of the Spanish reports for the Eurofound observatories from 1997 to 2017. She is the Spanish expert of the network of experts on employment and skills forecasting of CEDEFOP since 2013. In the field of employment she has developed a wide range of studies, addressing aspects such as the quality of employment and decent work, inequalities in the labor market, the impact of digitalisation, active labour market policies and models of industrial relations.
