Description

MANAGING RESTRUCTURING UNDER THE IMPACT OF TWIN TRANSITION: CASE STUDY ON COMPANY PRACTICES IN THE TOURISM SECTOR.

The service aims to provide a case study analysing restructuring or reorganisation approaches and outcomes at company level driven by the impact of the digital and green (twin) transition. The case should analyse the challenges faced by both management and workers and workers’ representatives to deal with adaptation to change as well as the role played by social dialogue finding solutions to the requirements stemming from the twin transition.

The specific objectives of the contract are the following:

1. Identifying the drivers of change resulting from the impact of the twin transition in the selected company and how it has adapted its structure, provision of services and work organisation.

2. Identifying and assessing the practical influence of the implementation of digital

technologies and new environmental policies and practices in the provision of tourism services, work organisation, employment, content of the jobs and tasks, occupation and skills shifts, working conditions and employment relations in the workplace.

3. Exploring socially responsible restructuring approaches and management to address the impact of the twin transition and namely anticipatory measures such as upskilling and reskilling policies and other mechanisms applied by the company to restructure and reorganise service provision and workforce.

4. Consider the impact of external financing available to support change in the sector, both for its general transformation and to support managing the impact of specificrestructuring processes.

5. Assessing the role played by social dialogue at all levels in the management of the restructuring or reorganisation process stemming from the digital and green transitions.
