Description

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SERVICE FOR THE DETECTION OF THE TRAINING NEEDS OF THE LABOUR MARKET TO IMPROVE THE PLANNING OF THE TRAINING OFFER PROMOTED BY THE PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT SERVICE OF CATALONIA

The main objective of the service is to define and implement a model for the detection of training needs, with special emphasis on capturing and contrasting these training needs with the productive sector.

This service has to design and articulate a procedure for the detection of training needs, directly contrasted with the productive sector, which will contribute to the planning of the training offer promoted by the Catalan Employment Service (SOC) and the Consortium for Continuous Training of Catalonia in future years. This new tool will make it possible to better adjust current and future needs between the productive sectors (new training specialities, new skills, new occupational profiles, etc.) and the public offer of vocational training for employment.

The ultimate aim of this recruitment is the permanent identification of the professional and transversal competences (soft skills) most in demand by companies, as well as the new skills or tasks associated with current or emerging professional profiles as a result of the evolution of the labour market, especially in the field of technology, the green economy or employment-generating sectors. In this sense, the SOC will have relevant information to guide and prioritise the training offer in a way that is more in line with the real needs of the productive sectors.
