New meeting of the SMILE project in Barcelona

A new face-to-face meeting of the SMILE project, a European project coordinated by EUCEN (European University Continuing Education Network), was held on 7 and 8 February 2023.

SMILE, funded by the Erasmus+ KA3 Programme, aims to promote inclusive learning by developing, testing and implementing innovative tools that improve the way higher education institutions address diversity and social inclusion.

The event was held in Barcelona, at the Central Headquarters of the University of Barcelona, and was attended by representatives of the different project partners. During the first day, the status of implementation of the different work packages was discussed and a timetable for partial and final deliverables of the expected results was established. In particular, the audits carried out and the courses implemented in each of the project’s pillars – migration, women and leadership and socio-economic status – were discussed.

During the second day, the organisation of internal communication activities and the work on the elaboration of recommendations were discussed.  Finally, the planning of the Final Symposium to be held on 16 November 2023 in Barcelona was discussed. This event is important to disseminate the results of the project and will be attended by partners and stakeholders.
