Ending of the gender training cycle at Medicusmundi NAM

Last November, Notus collaborated with Medicusmundi NAM (Navarra, Aragón and Madrid) in the design and implementation of a training course on the incorporation of the feminist gender perspective in development cooperation projects and education for social transformation. It has been 4 months of joint work divided into six sessions of 3 hours and 20 minutes each, as intense as it was productive. Designed with a participatory format based on collective reflection, we have worked on real projects that the organisation is implementing in different places, generating proposals for improvement based on questions that have allowed us to analyse the phases of diagnosis, design, implementation and evaluation of the projects from a critical feminist perspective.

With an entirely online format, the methodology was based on the principles of feminist pedagogy: participatory learning, validation of personal experience, promotion of social justice, activism and responsibility, and development of critical thinking and open-mindedness.To this end, we have alternated the teaching of theoretical and practical content with the promotion of reflective processes that promote the exchange of experiences and the collective generation of knowledge through group work and the use of collaborative tools such as Miro.

It has been a very enriching process for Notus, where we have had the opportunity to share feminist views and objectives. Moreover, we have been able to meet and learn from a great team to whom we are very grateful for their trust and with whom we hope to be able to work again soon.
