Participatory Workshop on the Economic Development Plan for the Hoya de Buñol – Chiva County
On Thursday, November 13th, a participatory workshop for the development of the Economic Development Plan for the municipalities of the Hoya de Buñol – Chiva Association of Municipalities was held at the association’s headquarters.
This initiative, promoted by the Sustainable Territorial Development Area of the Valencia Provincial Council and the Hoya de Buñol – Chiva Association of Municipalities, aims to identify common challenges for the 11 participating municipalities and design joint projects to address them.
During the workshop, with the participation of town councils, the Association of Municipalities, and social agents, the results of the previous socioeconomic diagnosis and the participatory process developed to date were analysed (interviews with key stakeholders and a citizen survey). Based on these results, common lever projects were prioritized, covering areas such as public transport, connectivity, commerce, housing, forest management, and services for the elderly.
From this moment on, steering groups made up of the interested parties will work on preparing each of these projects so that they can become a reality in the period 2026-2028.
